Victoria Road Scout Centre

Victoria Road Scout Centre is the home for 7th Gateshead Scout Group and also for many of our district events and competitions.

It has two large halls (one with a sprung floor), a well-equipped kitchen, office space and a small courtyard complete with seating area and a fire pit.

Thanks to initial support from the Gateshead Keser Torah Primary School, Gateshead Scouts were able to acquire the building and refurbish the inside in late 2022. A generous grant from the Youth Investment Fund also allowed us to completely replace the main roof on the two halls in 2023/24, thereby securing the building for long term use.

This much loved community building is now once more available for use and is available for hire when not being used for Scout meetings and activities. It is an ideal space for community groups  in the Teams and Bensham areas looking for somewhere to hold regular meetings such as nursery or pre-school groups, fitness or dance classes, slimmers clubs etc.
